Longueuil (Quebec), May 7, 2025 – Recent changes to the tax credit for e-business development (CDAE), now replaced by the CDAE AI, are raising many questions among AQT’s member CEOs. While the Québec government's intention is to better target AI solutions and maximize local economic benefits, this reform could have major repercussions for the province’s tech ecosystem.

Today, AQT is launching a consultation with its tech CEO members to better understand the perceived and actual impacts of this reform on your businesses.

  • How well do you understand the changes made to the CDAE?

  • How do your solutions, services, and teams align with the CDAE AI’s objectives and criteria?

  • What could be the positive or negative impacts of this shift on your business model?

  • What adjustments should be made to maximize the benefits of CDAE AI for Québec?

Your responses will help us build a clear picture of how CDAE AI is affecting your companies, the challenges it creates, and opportunities for improvement. Ultimately, this will allow us to bring your voice to the Québec government. In collaboration with BDO, we will translate your input into strategic recommendations that will be presented to Investissement Québec and the Ministry of Finance as they prepare to define specific eligibility criteria based on the latest budget directions.

Together, we can help shape the next steps.
Thank you for helping us structure our approach and represent your interests with accuracy and impact
