CEO Vision 2026

A Moment to Rethink the Future of the Tech Industry

From April 14 to 16, 150 tech sector CEOs gathered in Tremblant for the 25th edition of CEO Vision, the AQT’s flagship event.

Here are the highlights from this milestone edition, marked by strategic discussions, high-level content, and meaningful connections shaping the future of the industry.

AI INTEGRATION

AI integration is emerging as a top priority in Quebec’s tech industry, particularly with the evolution of CDAE into CDAE-AI. While this shift has increased pressure to adopt these technologies, CEOs agree on one point: implementation must be gradual, structured, and aligned with business realities. The Government of Quebec has acknowledged this by recently easing its eligibility criteria.
At  CEO Vision, Étienne Élie, PhD, Founder and Chief Architect of Y Square, provided valuable insights into applied AI. His conclusion was clear: many initiatives fail not because of the technology itself, but due to a lack of alignment between strategy, use cases, and execution.
This perspective is helping CEOs better structure their approach and focus on more coherent value creation.
Complementing this, Guillaume Roy’s session stood out by highlighting a deeper transformation: that of business models. With generative AI, long-standing advantages can quickly lose their value, giving way to execution speed and adaptability.
A direct perspective that is prompting CEOs to rethink their positioning and anticipate the tangible impact of AI on their competitiveness.

MERGERS, ACQUISITIONS AND BUSINESS SUCCESSION: A STRATEGIC GROWTH LEVER

Mergers and acquisitions are emerging as a preferred growth path for CEOs. Over the next five years, 48% of companies plan to grow through acquisitions, 47% are considering mergers with complementary partners, and 45% are open to a sale if presented with a competitive offer.
These topics were at the heart of discussions at  CEO Vision, particularly during panels featuring participating CEOs, as well as in closed-door sessions among executives. The strong interest in these strategies confirms their growing importance in today’s strategic thinking.

MARKET DIVERSIFICATION: THE POWER OF THE NETWORK IN ACTION

In a context of economic uncertainty and geopolitical disruption, market diversification is emerging as a strategic priority to ensure long-term business resilience. This theme came up repeatedly in discussions among CEOs.
CEO Vision also highlighted the strength of the network and the potential for peer collaboration. The “Our CEOs Around the World” application, made available to participants and developed at the initiative of Robi Guha, CEO of TLM, is a concrete example. It provides an interactive network to connect with experienced CEOs in your target markets and gain practical insights.
This initiative generated strong enthusiasm and reflects the collaborative spirit and mutual support within the AQT tech business community.

CLIMATE CRISIS AND TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS: ENTREPRENEURSHIP AS A DRIVER OF ACTION

Frédéric Lalonde, a visionary entrepreneur, demonstrated how technological innovation can turn global challenges into concrete opportunities for action. In response to the climate crisis, he founded Deep Sky with the ambition of capturing gigatons of carbon and permanently sequestering them.

His talk made often abstract issues more tangible by highlighting the scale of the transformations ahead and the key role technology companies can play.

A powerful reminder that the decisions made today will have lasting economic and strategic impacts — spanning generations.

WHERE LEADERS STEP BACK TO MOVE FORWARD

CEO Vision stands out for its exclusive, practical content designed specifically for CEOs.
This 25th edition delivered a high-caliber program, an energizing atmosphere, and a wealth of inspiring ideas. Participants attended insightful and timely talks led by exceptional speakers from here and abroad — Sylvie Bernier, Caroline Néron, Benoit Chalifoux, Mario Lefebvre, Marvelless Mark, Rodrigo Liang, and Martin Thériault — who explored key topics such as leadership, resilience, the economy, and AI in depth.
More than an event,  CEO Vision offers a unique experience: a space where ideas flow freely, where content resonates in real ways with leaders, and where every session contributes to evolving practices and generating tangible impact.

A MUST-ATTEND EVENT FOR TODAY’S… AND TOMORROW’S TECH CEOs

Beyond its content, CEO Vision  offers a true space for reflection, exchange, and transformation for leaders. As Catherine Bouchard, Co-President of Centris Technologies, points out, the event provides an opportunity not only to reflect on one’s role as a CEO, but also to draw inspiration from peers who share similar realities and challenges.

This dynamic of exchange, at the heart of  CEO Vision’s DNA, actively contributes to succession, sustainability, and growth within the tech sector. By fostering experience sharing, knowledge transfer, and collaboration,  CEO Vision acts as a lever to help evolve today’s leaders — and those of tomorrow.

CEO Vision is a must-attend event for any CEO looking to immerse themselves, grow, gain inspiration, and stay ahead of the curve.
