Since 2003, the AQT CEO of the Year Award has celebrated the achievements of CEOs who are sources of inspiration and pride in Quebec’s techno-digital sector. The 2024 edition marks a new chapter in this success story with the arrival of the National Bank as the exclusive partner of this prestigious award.
The AQT-National Bank 2024 CEO of the Year Award aims to recognize CEOs who have played an essential role in the management of their company and in their commitment to the community, thus highlighting their significant contribution to collective progress through their leadership, reach and social involvement.
Submit your candidacy or nominate a CEO to highlight the exceptional leaders who are shaping the future of Quebec’s tech sector. The deadline is February 20, 2024 at midnight.
Candidates
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Be CEO of a company in the techno-digital sector with its head office in Quebec;
- Be a member in good standing of the AQT;
- Be registered as a participant in “Vision CEO 2024” which will take place from April 23 to 25, 2024 at the Fairmont Manoir Richelieu in Charlevoix;
- Have never been “CEO of the year”.

SELECTION PROCESS

- All complete and submitted application files will be analyzed by an independent JURY composed of experienced industry representatives. The identity of the jury members must remain confidential. All candidates will be informed before the official unveiling whether their application has been accepted or not;
- The jury will select six CEOs, among them, three representatives of companies founded from 2017, in order to defend their candidacy during a panel during the first day of CEO Vision 2024, forum exclusive for Quebec tech CEOs, which will be held from April 23 to 25, 2024 at the Fairmont Manoir Richelieu in Charlevoix. (see the evaluation grid*);
- After the first presentation, the CEOs will vote for their candidates of choice, representing 30% of the final score, which will be added to the 70% of the score already awarded by the jury. The three candidates with the highest score will be selected as finalists;
- The three finalists will be invited to present their candidacy on stage during the gala evening on April 24, 2024, in a presentation lasting a maximum of 4 minutes. The winning CEO of the competition will be crowned solely by the vote of the tech CEOs participating in CEO Vision during the gala. Peers will be invited to vote based on the same evaluation criteria: leadership, influence and social involvement. The CEO who obtains the greatest number of votes will become the AQT-National Bank 2024 CEO of the Year.

COMMITMENTS FOR APPLICATIONS SELECTED BY THE JURY
- Provide a recent professional photo, bust, color on a solid background, 300 dpi format (JPG or TIFF), as well as the company logo in EPS or AI format.
- Send short videos of their team members which will be used for promotional purposes by answering the following question: Why should our CEO be the winner?
- Participate in the Vision CEO eventfrom April 23 to 25, 2024 and take part in a panel on April 23. Then, the winners of each category will be invited to present their candidacy (on stage) at the CEO of the Year Awards evening the following day, to compete for the ultimate title of AQT-National Bank 2024 CEO of the Year.
- Make yourself available for possible media interviews in the days and months following the announcement of the finalists and the winner
