Samer Saab, CEO of eXplorance: a Quebec entrepreneur conquering the world
Last night, the industry once again gathered for the second edition of the “Entrepreneur’s Path” 5@7.
This event, presented in the style of a talk show by René Vézina, a well-known columnist for Les Affaires, featured Samer Saab, CEO and founder of eXplorance. The “Entrepreneur’s Path” series aims to showcase, one by one, the finalists and the winner of the 2016 Investissement Québec CEO of the Year Award.
Let’s first recall that eXplorance is a global leader in learning experience management. Founded in 2003, the company—90% of whose workforce is based in Quebec—serves over 250 clients worldwide and generates 95% of its revenue outside the province. (Read the article about eXplorance.)
Throughout the interview, participants discovered an honest, ethically driven man of Lebanese origin who chose entrepreneurship based on personal values. It is in Quebec, where he has lived since 1990, that he decided to establish his company. Indeed, the CEO of eXplorance insists that the business he founded is fundamentally Quebec-based and that he intends for it to remain so, despite the interest of major investors and multinational corporations such as Microsoft. As René Vézina aptly stated, “Samer Saab is a gain for Quebec.”
“I want to bring prosperity to the Quebec that welcomed me,” concludes the CEO of eXplorance, hoping his journey will inspire other entrepreneurs.
eXplorance currently has physical offices in California, Alberta, Australia, Colombia, England, and Jordan, and is now aiming to expand into Central America.
The next “Entrepreneur’s Path” event will feature David Hervieux of Devolutions, the 2016 winner of the Investissement Québec CEO of the Year Award, on March 21, 2017. Not to be missed!
