Spring 2026 Economic Update: A Context to Watch for the Technology Sector

Longueuil (Quebec), April 29, 2026 -  AQT has taken note of the Spring 2026 Economic Update presented by the Minister of Finance, François-Philippe Champagne.

We welcome the federal government’s commitment to investing in key priorities for Canadians and Quebecers, including housing access, construction, defense, cost of living, workforce, and sports—measures that will help support multiple sectors and our communities.

As innovation and technology are recognized as essential drivers of economic growth, it remains important to strengthen productivity, investment, and business competitiveness.

At this stage, we do not observe any major changes for the technology industry in Quebec. AQT will continue to monitor upcoming government announcements closely.
