DAVID HERVIEUX, CEO OF DEVOLUTIONS, WINNER OF THE INVESTISSEMENT QUÉBEC CEO OF THE YEAR AWARD 2016

Montreal, 19th February, 2016 – Technology executives currently attending the AQT’s prestigious CEO Vision Forum in Mont Tremblant have honoured David Hervieux, CEO, Devolutions, as the 2016 Investissement Québec CEO of the Year.

For the first time, all of Quebec’s top ICT industry executives took part in the election process to select this year’s honouree. The final vote was weighted by the jury’s selection (10%), an online vote one week prior to the event (40%), as well as the votes cast by CEO Vision Forum attendees (50%) following a presentation by each of the finalists. SOM Research and Surveys, an independent survey firm, was tasked with overseeing the integrity of the voting process.

Organized by the Quebec Technology Association (AQT) in collaboration with Investissement Québec, this competition recognizes a technology-sector CEO’s exemplary leadership in contributing to the visibility of Quebec’s Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) industry.

David Hervieux began his career as an information technology developer and consultant, a sector in which he has worked in multiple roles over the past twelve years. A highly experienced developer and advisor, Mr. Hervieux founded Devolutions in 2004. Devolutions offers to IT professionals worldwide a complete remote connections and passwords management solution available on Windows, Mac, iOS and Android. Led by CEO David Hervieux, the company has more than 270 000 users in 120 countries. 97% of its sales come from outside of Canada with customers such as Boeing, Shell, Walt Disney, Dell, Sony, Airbnb and NASA. Devolutions has no sales representatives and counts exclusively on an integrated Inbound Marketing strategy where all the sales are made online directly from the company’s website.

“Small and medium-sized businesses in the ICT industry have to stand out in a highly competitive environment, and the men and women who build them have to be leaders and innovators,” said Investissement Québec President and CEO Pierre Gabriel Côté. “Congratulations to the 2016 winner, David Hervieux, for the great determination and strategic vision he showed at the helm of his company.”

The two other finalists, Paul Raymond, President and CEO, Alithya  et Samer Saab, CEO, eXplorance, were also warmly congratulated for their success before a select group of CEOs from small and mid-market companies as well as key players in Quebec’s information and communication technology industry.
